I was looking for a durable leather bag that I could carry my laptop in and a few other things, that wasn't too bulky. This fits the bill perfectly. I love the new bag!
The Greenwood Leather crew clearly takes pride in their craft. The quality and attention to detail trickled down to even the packaging. This bag was more than my needs required so I sent it back, and I could be more responsible by checking the return policy. Turns out returns are out of the customers pocket, so from California back to Canada with today's tariffs was a bit of a zinger.
Very well made. Incredibly sturdy hardware. Very nice color. Has so many more pockets than I realized from the pictures and description. There is a zippered pocket in back, an open pocket area under the flap with the pen slots and phone slot, then inside the interior zippered area there is two open areas one of which has a strap to secure a laptop or tablet, between those is a zippered divider that is also a pocket, and the pocket that doesn’t have the strap has a side zippered area. Love that the cellphone pocket can actually hold an iPhone pro max. I have one very minor quibble, there are only 2 pen/pencil slots, I personally prefer 3-5.
So people are aware the shipping on mine was pretty bad. It took well over a week from when I initially ordered before I received it and UPS simply didn’t deliver on the initial delivery date with no actual explanation. In addition this was done with international shipping also no explanation given of that.
The bag seems to be of excellent quality and has a huge amount of storage without being bulky. It is a compact size, while easily fitting a small 13 inch laptop. It isn't overly boxy or structured which keeps a slim thickness and allows for more comfortable wear.
The leather was a tad dry in spots out of the box, but I liberally applied Smith's leather balm which I use on my boots, and it has been perfectly soft and supple ever since.
Lifting the flap, which is secured using two magnetic buttons, reveals an open compartment that has two pen holders and a pocket exactly the right size to hold a smartphone in place, as well as plenty of additional space for miscellaneous items.
I rarely even have to unzip the main compartment, because everything I need is kept close at hand. The main compartment has three separate storage spaces. There is a laptop area as well as a second space for books/notebooks. These two are separated by a divider that is itself a zipped pocket. The laptop slot also has a secret zip pocket to hold small items, and there is an easy access exterior pocket on the back of the bag.
In short, if you run out of space with this bag, you have too much stuff. So far it has served my purpose perfectly and has given my office attire a much more professional look. Highly recommended.
